Welcome to my profile.

I am an experienced Therapeutic Counsellor/Psychotherapist, accredited with ACC and BACP, with a special interest in supporting recovery from the lasting impact of trauma, including childhood, generational and relational trauma, and the often accompanying grief, loneliness and other mental health challenges.

My approach to therapy is compassion-focused and trauma-informed based on the belief that we all deserve a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and validating environment in which we can feel free to explore our unique history and the impact of necessary adaptations we unconsciously developed along the way that still influence our life in the present.

With a person-centred approach I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, drawing on elements of CBT, DBT, Parts work, Somatic Experiencing, Systemic and Narrative Therapy among other style of interventions, while focusing on a desired or more beneficial outcome.

An individually tailored approach aims to encourage personal insight into the way you approach life, helps you make sense of your coping style and/or behaviour patterns in the face of challenges. It offers you skills to help break outdated patterns and develop more helpful habits leading to a healthier, more integrated life, and potentially more satisfying relationships.

I recognise the importance of faith and spiritual journey, and how integrating your beliefs into your therapeutic journey may be significant. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you and support the exploration of your challenges at your own pace, and help you find a way forward toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
