JANE STROUD
Online consultations

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a member of the ACC. I’ve been working with Heart and Mind for the past two years, offering counselling support to individuals navigating a wide range of life experiences. I would describe myself as a highly relational therapist—relaxed yet professional—and someone who genuinely cares about people and their stories.

Approach

My counselling approach is grounded in creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to bring all of who they are. I believe that we all need to feel seen, heard, and valued, and I’m committed to walking alongside you, whether you're facing current challenges or wanting to explore deeper patterns rooted in the past.

I have a strong interest in how our early experiences shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others today. I believe that by understanding the past, we can begin to make meaningful changes in the present and develop new, healthier ways of coping and living.

I use a range of therapeutic models depending on each client’s individual needs, drawing from:

  • Person-Centred Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Systemic Therapy

  • Solution Focussed Therapy

This integrative approach allows me to work flexibly—whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to about life’s everyday struggles. For some, counselling may involve processing past wounds; for others, it’s about developing practical tools for the here and now. Either way, we will work together at your pace.

Training and Experience

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and have experience supporting clients at different stages of life. My training and ongoing work have given me a rich "toolbox" of therapeutic techniques, which I tailor to best support each person I work with.

If you’re looking for someone to come alongside you—whether to process something from your past, make sense of your emotions, or simply have a space to be yourself—I’m here to help.

Jane was really reliable and confidential. I felt very safe and secure to share my thoughts and experiences. She listened well and always had thought provoking questions helping me discover things and understand myself better. Completely non-judgemental and gave helpful anecdotes when I needed them.
— Client feedback
My counsellor was extremely adaptable and client lead when needed.
