SOME SEASONS IN OUR LIVES CAN BE DIFFICULT

The loss of a relationship, a divorce, the death of a loved one or other major life events can rob our lives of joy and fulfilment. Other times we simply experience daily life as overwhelming or we make choices we regret and find ourselves getting caught up in unhelpful thinking habits or addictions.

While at times we walk through these seasons on our own or with the help of a friend, other times we need something more and something different. We might look for someone who takes the time to listen without judgement, asks questions and has the necessary objectivity and expertise to help us to find a way forward.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Heart & Mind can provide you with professional and confidential help and support in these difficult times.

A dedicated team of experienced therapists can offer short-term counselling or more long-term psychotherapeutic support and help.

While counselling is not a quick fix or an easy solution to life’s problems, it can help you to understand your behaviour, situations, and relationships and allow you to make informed decisions. It can teach you how to do things differently, break old patterns of behaviour and equip you with the necessary courage and practical tools to move forward.

ISSUES WE CAN HELP WITH

Our team has experience in helping with a range of issues including the following:

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Anxiety

We pride ourselves in providing personalised therapy, tailoring our support and help to your particular needs.

Our team consists of a number of counsellors trained in various therapies and models. While every team member has her or his speciality and individual approach of working, each has been chosen for their genuine care for people and their commitment to providing a high-quality service.

Registering for an initial consultation will help us to understand your challenges and difficulties and allow us to match your availabilities with that of a team member best suited to your specific needs.

Our practitioners are registered members of professional bodies and have or are working towards accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the Association of Christians in Counselling UK (ACC), subscribing to their code of conduct in areas of ethics, practice and complaints procedures.

I can honestly say I have grown so much. This has been a counselling experience that has imparted a greater sense of agency within me and over my life.

My counsellor was incredibly compassionate and attentive. It made it so easy for me to open up because it was such a safe space to do so. A lot of what she said gave me room to reflect and think through things and that brought so much change.
